It’s Earth Day! For your tree-hugging pleasure, I want to tell you my opinion of a new ebook, and give you a chance to win your own copy. I was recently given a review copy of Accidentally Green by Hilary Kimes Bernstein. Right away, I found Hilary’s writing style engaging and easy to read. The tagline of the book – “How and why one family began making healthy changes that honor God and happen to help the environment” – really grabbed me, because it truly speaks to my personal take on Christian stewardship of the environment. At less than a hundred pages, it is a quick read, as well…

Sometimes, I’m an Israelite… (About Gratefulness)

It’s Finally Done! – Modkid’s “Penny” Pattern Review
First, a confession – I started this sewing project a while ago. Possibly last summer. I made the mistake of letting Little Miss know that I had started it, and got to tell her (when she asked) at random times since then that I was STILL not done with her dress. In my defense, I am a procrastinator I ended up pulling out three different sewing machines before I got one to work right. Also, I’d never sewn knits the “right” way before, and the thought of royally messing up was daunting to this perfectionist who’d rather not start something at all if it might be a royal mess at the end. However, my lack of confidence is a topic for another day…
